Growing up, one of my favorite places to go was Waterton National Park in Alberta, Canada. My family is from Alberta, so it was always a place where we would go spend the day hiking, biking around town, and skipping rocks on Waterton Lake. It is honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. On my most recent trip to Waterton, we hiked Red Rock Canyon which is one of my most favorite hikes of all time. You walk through the water, across logs, scale walls, and if you are brave enough- swim in the icy water. It is a fun and exciting hike that so unique to a lot of other hikes in the area. We ended the day with riding bikes around town and along Waterton Lake, and ate “Weiners of Waterton” (best hotdogs you will ever eat in your life ) while hammocking by the lake. Waterton National Park will forever be one of my absolute favorite places to visit in the summer.
